Unaccompanied Minor

  • The request for the service must be made before the departure of the flight or at the time of making the reservation through our Sales Offices or at the airport counter.
  • Payment for the unaccompanied minor service can be made at our Sales Offices or at the airport counter.
  • The airline is not responsible for not being able to provide the special services required for not meeting the requirements as established.
  • The family member or guardian should not leave the airport facilities until the flight has taken off.

Under 5 years

They must be accompanied by a family member, guardian or host who is at least 18 years old.

Under 5 and 13 years

They are considered unaccompanied minors and charges apply for the unaccompanied minor service. They can travel with a companion over 14 years of age.

Minors from 14 years

Optional service. They can travel alone on direct flights.

If the itinerary is impacted by any non-regular operation, the parents or legal guardians will be contacted to receive authorization regarding any changes to be processed in the itinerary.

Sky High Aviation Services is not responsible for minors traveling on connecting flights with another airline.

Only minors are allowed in connection from 10 years of age.

  • All unaccompanied minors must have with them all the documents required by legal provisions of the city of origin and destination of their trip.
  • We recommend checking with the competent authorities to ensure that these are complied with.
  • Unaccompanied minors should not carry carry-on baggage that they cannot guard. SKYhigh Dominicana is not responsible for the content of the minor's hand luggage, nor for the valuables carried by the minor.
  • Unaccompanied minors cannot carry excess baggage or extra pieces as checked baggage.
  • Unaccompanied minors cannot travel with pets.
  • Unaccompanied minors and young travelers who are undergoing medical treatment or who have a special medical condition cannot be accepted unless they present a medical document that authorizes the minor's travel without the company of a responsible adult.
  • When the child arrives at their destination, the person receiving the child must show documentation that identifies them as the person listed on the attached form.

  • Name and relationship of the person who will take the child to the airport.
  • Telephone number of the residence and address of said person.
  • Name and relationship of the person who will receive the child.
  • Telephone number of the residence and office of said person.
  • Identity number or photo identification of the adult who will take the minor to the airport and of the adult who will receive the minor.

Note: Passengers must verify the necessary requirements with the competent authorities of their country of origin, as well as those of the country of their destination to ensure that they are met.

The cost per service has a value of US$100.00 per way, additional to the value of the ticket.
